Being my own time manager.

 A lot of people, when they retire, begin to amid as to how they are going to fill- in all those now freed- up hours. Not me! I started a semi-autobiographical / semi-fictional book of my exploits as a social worker, with some VERY interesting tales to tell, but got distracted and told myself “ when I get bored, I will go back to it and finish it”. That was March 2010. Still not bored. Basically, I don’t do anything, but do a lot of it! We have had about forty holidays in the past decade, ranging from a Caribbean cruise to a Pan- Asian/ Australian tour, visiting far-flung relatives. We split our day- we go out shopping most mornings and stop in most afternoons. The first four years of retirement were filled with coping with my mum, who still lived at home twenty-odd miles away, was 98 when I retired and was sliding into dementia. She passed away in 2012!
